XBox Live Gold Games for October 2015

The Xbox Wire site has announced the newest games that will be available for download to Xbox Live subscribers during the month of October starting on October 1st.

The games are as follows:
  • (XBone) Valiant Hearts: The Great War (October 1-31)
  • (XBone) The Walking Dead (October 16-November 15)
  • (X360) Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (October 1-15)
  • (X360) The Walking Dead (October 16-31)

The Walking Dead made huge waves in 2013 when it was an unexpected hit and MGSV: Ground Zeroes is the prequel to the game Drewby and Michael have been raving about for weeks now. Also note, Valiant Hearts was Drewby’s favorite game that he played last year.

XCOM 2 Announcement

The sequel to the Giantbomb’s 2012 GOTY was announced today.  XCOM 2 will be release in November of this year, a specific date is not known at this time.  This is a sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, a tactical strategy game where you (the player) are task with defending the Earth from invading alien forces.

Both Michael an I have played the Enemy Unknown, though Michael has completed more of the game then myself.  I keep this game in a “Playing” list in my Steam library cause I should go back to it, and I think I would like to, I just haven’t gotten to it yet.  Michael’s thoughts on Enemy Unknown are that the game is “Freaking rad”, and he is looking forward to playing playing the sequel.

BUNGIE TO LIVE STREAM DESTINY HOUSE OF WOLVES EXPANSION (Pt 2)

Tomorrow (Wednesday May 6th) at 12PM Central, Bungie is hosting a live stream on Twitch where they plan on showing off the new coop horde mode, “Prison of Elders” which will be featured during the House of Wolves Expansion. According to Bungie, “teams of three players can take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies to earn high-level legendary and exotic rewards” .  This appears to be the fill in for the lack of raid at the beginning of this expansion.

You will be able to view the Twitch stream once it has gone live here .

A new trailer was also released to announce this twitch stream

Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves, will be available on Tuesday May 19th.

There is also a Mumble server available at that same IP address. Download a Mumble client from HERE and access the Culture of My People Mumble server. While using the server, please use “Push-to-Talk” as echo builds up quite frequently. Since the game currently does not include a list of online players, this is a great way to find out if anyone is playing on the server at any time. Eventually I will build the Mumble server out to have multiple rooms for different games.

Have fun!
